Navigating Transformation -- Change Management for a Leading Financial Services Provider
The Challenge
The client was undertaking a significant organisational transformation spanning new performance management systems, process reengineering, and cultural realignment. Leadership recognised that the technical components of the change programme were well-scoped, but that the human dimensions -- awareness, buy-in, and sustained commitment -- required dedicated intervention.
Our Approach
Carthena Advisory designed and facilitated a change management engagement built around four core pillars: change awareness, stakeholder communication, resistance management, and implementation support. Working directly with senior leadership and people managers, we introduced a structured framework covering the full change lifecycle -- from initial immobilisation and resistance through to acceptance, experimentation, and internalisation.
Key elements of the programme included executive briefings on the dimensions of successful change (leadership, culture, structure, behaviour, and measures), facilitated sessions on anticipating and managing employee resistance, and a communication strategy covering multiple channels to reach staff at every level.
Results
Leadership teams left the engagement with a clear, actionable implementation plan, a shared language for navigating the emotional and organisational dimensions of change, and practical tools for sustaining momentum through the critical stages of the transformation. Staff resistance was proactively addressed through structured communication, participation mechanisms, and targeted support -- reducing the risk of change fatigue and programme stall.
